About Me

I am a twenty-something registered nurse that has found a home in the Pediatric Intensive Care Unit at a busy Houston Children's hospital.  My love for nursing is indescribable and my passion for helping people is fulfilled through my work.

I met my handsome hubby in 2006 at an Aggie football game.  You see, I was in my last semester of nursing school and one of my really good friends asked if I wanted to go in with a group to purchase season tickets.  Seeing that I love football and especially the Aggies, I said, "Um, duh".  So there we were at that first game -- Leah, her boyfriend Layne, his friend Brad and myself.  Truth be told, I wasn't too fond of Brad at first.  He was a little rough around the edges, but after some strategic seating arrangement, we got to know each other over several months and began dating in November/December.   I graduated from nursing school that month, moved to Houston and we got engaged the following August.  Spent 16 months planning the perfect wedding and were married December 6, 2008.  It's been a fantastic almost three years :)

We love, Love, LOVE to travel together and do so as much as our work schedules and pocketbooks allow.  Where?  Colorado a lot.  NYC.  Napa Valley.  France.  We have a list that we'd like to accomplish before kids come along.  Hopefully we'll make it!

I love, Love, LOVE to bake and cook, but mostly bake.  I also like shopping, especially for antiques and repurposed things.  I think it's fun to see something old made into something new and functional.

I have lots of friends that I adore and a family that couldn't be better.

No backyard = no pets just yet.  Maybe one day.  Or maybe we'll just skip pets altogether and go straight for the kids.  We'll just have to wait and see, now, won't we?
